E17: Indira Páez: Morir de Humor

An interview with Indira Páez, a Venezuelan writer and playwright, about her book "Morir de Humor". Indira has written dozens of plays, soap operas and series, among them "Gabriel, amor inmortal", for which she received an Emmy award as a co-writer, and the recent "Señora de acero", one of the most watched series in the United States. "Morir de Humor" is a wonderful work that presents us with a compilation of autobiographical stories written in a completely transparent, self-critical, and irreverent manner, where the author speaks to us about sex, love, children, family, marriage, divorce, first dates, and disappointments without any reservations. The book is divided into three parts, the first collects the adventures and misfortunes of Indira's friends, the second gives a look at the life of this writer as she passes through life in her native Venezuela and then in Miami where she currently resides, and the third shares a series of introspections about life in general. Each of these writings covers themes that we have all experienced at some point in our lives, whether directly or tangentially; loves, dislikes, insecurities, exes, each page characterized by brutal honesty and a lot, a lot of humor. This is an absolutely fantastic work, which we hope you will enjoy as much as we did.
